Description of the Book:
"Wandering Grey" is a collection of poems that reflects my changing perspective on life. As a child full of colourful dreams and ready to learn, I saw the world in clear black and white, with defined notions of right and wrong. I rarely sat on the fence; I always lived on the edge.
But as I grew older, I began to see the world in shades of grey. The lines between truth and falsehood blurred, and this shift both fascinated and frightened me. My naive worldview was disturbed. I began writing and recording poetry about many events and experiences of my life in 2015. But little did I know that the currents of life would turn for the worse.
At the end of 2019, with the rise of the pandemic and the siege of lockdowns, like many others, I was flung into the dark pit of uncertainty. I started seeing things in murky grey and couldn't see vivid colours anymore. My eyes had been blinded, and my heart snatched from my body; I couldn't feel anything. As time passed, I felt like a grey zombie, scrolling through social media and YouTube.
Poetry became my guiding light amidst my sadness and anxiety. I learned to drag myself out of the depths of despair by composing poems and gradually regained my strength. Nature's beauty, the warmth of family, the bonds of friendship, the embrace of love, and the pursuit of knowledge and the arts have all become sources of strength.
In "Wandering Grey," I provide a selection of poetry inspired by the things that make life meaningful. And I hope these poems may serve as a source of inspiration for you, Dear Reader, as you seek your purpose in this journey we call life.
