Author's Name: Poppy Rigby About the Author: Hello there! My name is Poppy, I'm originally from Rotherham but live in Greater Manchester now. I have always been a musical and arty person; performing in shows in and out of school and doing anything arty and creative that I can. When I was 16/17 I was diagnosed with Dyslexia, and along with that discovered I also have Dyspraxia; and have more recently at 20 discovered I am Autistic. I mention these things because they have shaped me, they don't define me but they have shaped me. I was always told I wasn't listening in school, I would be teased for asking questions all the time and not understanding things, to the point it would even annoy my teachers. But since discovering these things about myself I have been able to get the support I need and help understand why I do and say the things I do. If you look hard enough these things are hidden in some of my poems. Now I'll be honest, I've been dealt a few bad hands in life, more than I wish to directly say.
