"Verses From My Verandah" is Gunmeher Juneja's first collection of poems depicting the the journey of life through a romantic relationship - from the secret confession of love, to the testing times and swirls in a relationship, all the way till what seems like the end of life, only to emerge with the realisation that there is much more to life, than living in the memories of a broken heart - there is always something to look forward to.

The collection, a mix of easy to read English and Hindi poems, is styled along the different stages of this journey and is ideally meant to be read accordingly. The purpose of the poems is to get the reader to ruminate over the ways we determine the quality of a relationship versus the quality of life. The poems describe the ebbs and flows of emotions in a romantic relationship and how, while it is easy and natural to become desolate at the end of any such relationship, it is on us to make our life whole and meaningful again, while carrying along the bitter-sweet memories.
