Description of the Book:
Originally intended to be written as the product of a '21 Poems in 21 Days' competition, the development of this short volume hit an immediate snag when I attempted to catalogue the exploits of my favourite D&D character, entirely through narratively contiguous limericks. An ambitious project to start with; a gruelling ordeal by day five, and limerick #52.
Discarding the project and now having wasted a whole week of the competition, I browsed my old files and folders for inspiration. And I realised that among my various writings from the past fifteen years, there were several nuggets of which I was actually proud. I decided instead to re-interpret '21 Poems in 21 Days' - they may not have been consecutive, but together, the days on which these poems were written have yielded a selection of which I feel I can be proud.
Some are funny, some are bleak, some rhyme, some are more freeform, etc. Some of them are even good. I enjoyed putting this together, and I hope you enjoy reading it. Just remember, I'm fine.
Those Words I Felt That One Time
Author's Name: Dan Hart About the Author: The author, a thirty-something idiot from England, recently moved to Scotland to pursue his two true passions: Irn Bru, and the plausibility of ever owning a home in an economy stimulated by Conservative politics. Having fallen back in love with writing during that first strange, lost Summer of the pandemic, he now writes poetry in an attempt to scratch whichever creative itches Dungeons & Dragons alone can't cover.
