Description of the Book:
Being a therapist in South Africa, I worked primarily with trauma, bereavement and addiction. Segueing into the mental health services in the UK was a dramatic shift, and this book describes the anecdotes I have learned from my clients.
By playing on the 1950's medical model of the word "patients", I hope to not only give insight into lived experience of difficult situations, but to give perspective on the value of patience when meeting people in their distress.
