Author's Name: Sonya Littlejohn About the Author: Sonya Littlejohn graduated the University of British Columbia in Canadian Studies and English. Inanna Press, Anvil Press, and Briarpatch Magazine have published Sonya's work. She performs spoken word, facilitates writing workshops and writes in many genres and is a literacy educator and support person in community connections. She was raised in ancestral Secwepemc territory and now lives in Xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh and Səl̓ilwətaɁɬ unceded territories. Her parents are Bermudian and British born, both immigrant settlers to Canada. Her mother’s roots began in North America with an untraceably kidnapped child.
