While my escape is poetry, this book acknowledges worldly issues and obstacles – the grueling pain that comes along with them, looking for ways to overcome them. And the journey of persevering through the darkness into the light. Yes, we may not always find the radiance. However, life is full of battles to overcome. You win some; you lose some. We cannot let that darkness consume us. It’s okay to feel pain and to give up at times, but we need to do more. We have unrelenting potential to change the world, yet the hardest thing to do is change ourselves. I hope this book will relate to the pain everyone goes through at some point or might be dealing with their battles to show them they are not alone. We all have our demons to fight, and while close ones are always there to support us – this journey is about exploring the depths within yourself.
