Description of the Book:

This poetry book is about the story of a young Black girl who wanted more out of her reality than what existed. While out in a forest, daydreaming, she came upon a glowing, what looked like a closed up rose that only partly bloomed. She suddenly had the urge to put it in her mouth. When she took it out a fairy appeared in the fully bloomed rose. She goes on an adventure and ends up learning more about herself than before.

About the Author: I have always had a wild imagination. It took me to wild and adventurous mindsets that others around me thought me crazy for thinking. When I was young I told my grandfather I wanted a castle in the sky with a farm, because I loved animals. I also love Ghibli which is where this idea came from. I changed my major in undergrad to archaeology and anthropology after realizing my love for culture and history. I want to become a famous author some day and write stories about people like me getting lost in fantasy worlds, while learning intense and valuable lessons about themselves and the world around them. This poetry book is the start of that.
