THE EXODUS: A Pursuit to Healing takes you on a journey with me as I confront intense, spiritual warfare as I choose to obey God and “be still,” and fight for my marriage and family restoration. As things get ugly and increasingly painful, I have to face myself and a few of my own poor choices that contributed to our troubled marriage. But I discover the only way to obtain healing is through working on myself. Turning to what I know, God leads me to writing and finally publishing my first poetry book. May it help many believe in the power God has to restore marriages, understand what real Love is, and encourage you to trust the voice of God when everyone else’s voice tries to drown Him out.

About the Author: A Poet & Spoken Word Artist, Writer, Theatre Director, Actress and Arts Educator, LaShanna currently portrays the no-nonsense character, Theresa "Momma" Monroe, in the Ravizeenation Films web series, 5 Lil' Penguins, now streaming on several platforms, including Amazon Prime. LaShanna has appeared onstage in regional theatres across the North and Southeast, including: Make It Happen Theatre Company, Encore Theatre, UAB/ArtPlay, and Umdabu Dance Company. She has directed and designed with Birmingham Children's Theatre, UAB/ArtPlay, and was an Adjunct Professor with Samford University Theatre & Dance. Raised in New Rochelle, New York, LaShanna currently resides in Birmingham, Alabama.
