Description of the Book:
 
Words are considered either magical or transactional, beautiful or useful, depending on how you use them.

This is exactly how I felt sitting alone at a coffee shop, perched right in the middle of groups of people, huddled in twos, some in the company of threes and others like yours truly, flying solo.

Something took over me and I sat there, in observation -the words, the body language, consumed in expression, rythmic silences sometimes studied,mostly not.
As I begin to soak in the beautiful cacophony around me, the witness can't help but notice...

Everyone one of us wants to make a point
But what is the point?
Is there really even a point?
But it's allwe've got
All we ever know

...and that's what we'll always know if we keep sitting at coffee shops.
There is a slim possibility for a deeper awareness to kick in, if and only if, we're willing to be seated at the highest of the lowly tables in that elusive place, That Coffee shop called Life.

As you flip the pages, the coffee gets tastier!

“We speak and we speak because we have never really experienced silence at its peak”

Words will always be that heart-wrenching void between our lack of experiencing anything life-worthy and our need to somehow articulate that void through our eyes.

Once we understand this, we are free from the added burden of responsibility we put on words and can simply loose ourselves in them with the kind of abandon they deserve.

We can now freely allow them to work for us, allow them to seep into our psyche and emotions, both as individuals and as a collective.

Beyond this book, Better than Verse is a collection of poems that attempt to delve into the sub-text of what is actually going on Vs what we believe is going on.

It is my attempt at looking at life as closely and minutely to what it is, rather than constantly viewing it from the fragments of our tutored thought process.

Better than Verse is me using words like they are closest thing to silence.
