Description of the Book:

I knew "Tangerine Tides" was the perfect title for this collection the moment it hit me. It feels like it captures the very soul of this collection. The word "Tangerine" paints a picture with sunshine and warmth, hinting at the vibrant emotional landscape that I have tried to evoke in my poems. The word "Tides" suggests the constant ebb and flow of emotions, like the ocean waves, perfectly aligning with the range of feelings I have endeavored to express in each piece. The poems that you'll find encapsulated within the pages of “Tangerine Tides” are fragments of my own experiences, woven together to capture the full spectrum of what it means to be human. You'll find the bittersweet ache of loss in "My Sadness is My Own," the fierce defiance against societal pressures in "I Eat Criticism for Breakfast," and the whimsical escapism of dreamscapes in "Dream." I've explored the complexities of love, self-discovery, and the weight of cultural identity like in "Circa 2021: Chander Nagar." The vulnerability allows me to connect with you, reader, to find a shared reflection in the human experience. My love affair with language is evident in the imagery and metaphors that dance across the lines. Each poem is a crochet of sensory details, designed to linger long after the final verse is read. “Tangerine Tides” is an invitation to delve into the depths of your own emotions, to find beauty in the complexities of life, and to celebrate the power of language to connect us all.
