She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Union University in Jackson, TN, completed her residency at the Memphis VA Medical Center, and now serves at the VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System. She is Chair of Preceptor Development/Teaching and Learning for TVHS. part of the nationwide Veterans Health Administration Education Advisory Committee, and is passionate about well-being, especially as it relates to resiliency, impostor phenomenon, and psychological safety. In 2021 she was chosen for the American Society of Health Systems Pharmacists Section of Pharmacy Educators Advisory Group on Development of the Educational Workforce, of which she is now Vice Chair, and in 2022 Dr. Cozart was appointed as an ASHP Well-Being Ambassador and named the ASCP 2022 Student Preceptor of the Year.
