Songs of Hellenes is the second collection of poetry, inspired by a deep love of storytelling, particularly stories of ancient Greece and Classical Literature.
Each poem represents my creative perception of a voice of the ancients, the much loved 'Hellenes' - meaning 'Greeks'. These tales told for generations, from long ago taught the modern world so much about the core ingredients of inspirational storytelling - love, life, death, fate and the importance of following your stars. If those characters, that we meet as children could speak, Songs of Hellenes is a creative interpretation of what they would say in poetic form. Another echo in a long line of traditional storytelling that has fed the majestic fables of Greek Mythology.
