About the Author: Carla is 11 years old and has autism. She lives with her foster carer Fiona and enjoys writing poems, stories and songs. Her absolute favourite food is cheesecake! Carla won her first poetry competition in 2021 with the poem 'Outside View' in the Mary Palmer Prize for Poetry. She was also highly commended in the national Coram Voice poetry competition 2022 for her poem 'This is Me' which she performed in London with the opportunity to meet Peter Capaldi!
