Description of the Book:
INTRODUCTION.
These writings are my attempt to capture the 'extraordinariness of the ordinary' through the power of words. These are my thoughts, my conversations and perhaps my realisations in life through stories that I observed, I felt, I saw, I heard and I experienced. This book doesn't have any running theme and is simply a salad bowl of slices from veritable fruits of life and life doesn’t have a common theme, except the life itself. this book is about finding extraordinary in ordinary, finding something worth writing in very simple, matter of fact, mundane, unspecial ( sic ) things. Shri -the Extraordinary Ordinary, as the book is titled, is a collection of arrangement of words which one could call a poem, a prose , an amalgam or just simply the beauty that 24 alphabets are capable of creating not even of a particular genre -fiction, facts, poems, prose -- it is a collection, a painting where the only thing common is colours, a patch work, or perhaps modern art. To be enjoyed as a piece of art created by an amateur , but when I tried hard, I realized this book is about life as it happened to me, or should I say happened for me, as it happened to / for people around me, people who have been in and out of my small world, and what makes me feel that this book will be read is its relatability – it all began with writing one piece, emanating from a certain experience tha lay and as I pulled out one, the other started peeping out and then another , so this book is like a tissue box, only that the tissues are of different hues and colours, and tissues they still are. the writings in these books are stories, essays, musings, realisations, epiphanies about small things ,about big things, about important things, about unimportant things, -- some may resonate , some may not—but they all have made me think, smile, cry, hazy , but they are slices from lives that I heard, and that was my world, and my endeavor in this book has been to use my love for words. to make my thoughts tangible throught words, portable, tactile and real--- this book is a result of my love for words and their power , how their collection together tells stories that change the world, that stir the world—as if 10 ml water becomes easier to hold if frozen ---yet the freezing of words to ingest and their again melting to become emotions ….in the readers’ heart-----
Shri- the extraordinary ordinary
