Description of the Book:
It is such a liberating feeling to write from the heart.
From the fullness of who I am, without filter.
I did just that with "Rachel WKB Matembe's Poetry Anthology: Tapestry of my Life".
The word tapestry is used in reference to an intricate or complex combination of things or sequence of events.
And how befitting; for what you have before you is a culmination of seemingly unrelated past experiences that have come together to shape the person that I am at this moment. Some poems are just a few days old; others were penned by the teenage version of me 20 years ago. I am not who I was a few years ago. And I'm sure I'll be different in a few years to come. There has been growth and there will continue to be growth.
I feel blessed to be able to compile these thoughts of mine / poems into a book, and I pray that my poems awaken wonder, love, insight, joy and inspiration for all that read them.
