Description of the Book:
 
Potpourri is a collection of poems written over a period of 20 years. Many of the poems have been featured in my blog, star16creations@wordpress.com. Though I have dealt with a variety of genres, nature, love, the different walks of human life, social issues, personal incidents form the crux of it. My poems are my perceptions of a plethora of human emotions and the ambiguous life situations one finds oneself often entrapped in. The poems are a reflection of the various situations and thought processes in my evolution. Memories held close to the heart in childhood innocence are a few of them. The enigma one often finds oneself in when in lone moments are the essence of a few of them. Some poems deal with the perceptions I have of my patients and other lives around myself in a routine day of my life. In my recent practice of mindfulness, writing helps me sort out the flow of thoughts, with or without sequence, just as they come, unhindered from the source. The oft portrayed human fallacies and victories over indulgences have numerous grey shades invisible to a conditioned mind. The inner eye is evocative of the silent whispers of the soul which hold answers to many a question, hitherto unanswered.
