Poetry found Soumya at 23 in Chandigarh, stayed with her at 25 in Seattle, lost way in Delhi at 27. Over the six years of this still continuing relationship, she wrote of grief, healing, hope, almost- and never-loves, fleeting but glorious joys, and everything in between that was stuck in the back of her throat or bursting through her chest. She has left traces of her poems in far out places and carries those places in this book, along with the people who made those places. This is a chronological collection of poetry by Soumya; watch her grow, in multiple directions, on these pages.
