Author's Name: Ashley Kofford About the Author: I'm a 39 year old autistic individual from a small town in North Eastern Utah. I've been a single mom of 2 teenagers for most of their lives. They are both autistic but my youngest has been classified as non-verbal, they've been my greatest joys and greatest challenges. I've had a lot of ups and downs in my life that have helped fuel a lot of my creativity. I have been a writer for most of my life. As a child I was always inventing stories. As I reached high school that's when I really started to get involved in poetry. I had a couple of teachers, including my own maternal grandmother, be fantastic guides to refining my writing techniques. For me writing has been a way to express emotions, especially more complex ones. I'm currently in a very unique crossroads in my life hoping that moving forward my life will be better.
