Many Windows to the Lone Sky is a collection of poems and meditations on seeing. It looks through small openings, from garden paths to metro pillars and hospital corridors. A woodpecker at its own reflection, a murdered pipal tree, a flower seller in lockdown. These become guides to the hidden weather of our times. Each poem is a window that asks the reader to pause and really look. Images from Indian streets, kitchens, temples, and music halls keep the writing rooted. Yet the questions it asks about time, mortality, and belonging are universal. This book invites you not to worship the window, but to look through it and to see how everything is, quietly, connected.

Author’s Name: Saku
About the Author: Saku’s poems grow out of occasional, almost offhand scribblings in notebooks, on phone screens, and on the backs of envelopes. He lives in Chennai (Madras), India, and has long been drawn to poetry, music, and dance as ways of making sense of everyday life. By profession he works in industrial construction and management consulting, but his inner gaze is fixed on the classical and hereditary traditions of Indian art forms, from Bharatanatyam and Carnatic music to folk and temple arts. Much of his writing springs from this double life, where project plans and site visits quietly coexist with raga, rhythm, and old stories. Many Windows to the Lone Sky is his first collection.
