Author Name : Mia Sedory About the Author : Mia Sedory is a writer, slam poet, activist, and soon-to-be college student. She has received recognition from the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards including 1 Gold Key in poetry, 3 Silver Keys in poetry, and 1 Honorable Mention in Poetry. Additionally, she has performed slam poems at the 2020 American Foundation for Suicide Prevention 5K Out of the Darkness Campus Walk and the March 15th, 2019 Climate Strike at the Portland City Hall. Her passion is social justice particularly uplifting the BIPOC community and destigmatizing mental health. She hopes to pursue a career in education public policy and continue writing.
