The lane looked so mysterious and endless.  I held the knife tighter and ran towards the red light. As I got closer to it, a large house came into sight. I stood there, unable to move my feet any further. In the silence of the night, I heard footsteps approaching me. I tried to catch my breath while examining the old-fashioned building. Suddenly, I felt the footsteps coming closer and tried to walk a bit. I turned around and saw the outline of a woman. I didn’t waste any more time before getting into the house. It looked spooky, but I had hopes of finding a place to hide in here and escape from her.
