Description of the Book:
This book is a collection of poems from various phases of my life. From the frustration of not being able to complete the lengthy final exams at school to watching movies and imagining myself as a part of them, from days when I felt invincible to the days when I had to merge pieces to be whole again, from the days of feeling lonely to the days when I became my own best friend, this collection has a glimpse of all the shades. At times, writing on paper feels easier than vocalizing emotions. Sometimes, the mere act of putting pen to paper clears the head, and at times, it affirms what is already in the conscious. I have been journaling from perhaps the age of 11 or 12. Pen and paper have been by my side like true friends all these years. Thank you for picking up this book & for being a part of this journey.
Life as I travel it
Author Name: NEHA DUHAN About the Author: Neha enjoyed reading ever since she began to understand words. Sitting in shade with her maternal grandfather, after school, she would read whatever seemed interesting to both of them. Once on one such fine afternoon, she was introduced to the word 'journal' by her nana (maternal grandfather). He discussed the concept at length and encouraged her to do it. What began as a curious experiment, became an enjoyable routine. Before she knew it, words began to rhyme. Professionally a food scientist, Dr. Neha Duhan completed her doctorate from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in 2019. She is currently working as Research & Development Manager in Food Processing Industry. Apart from reading and writing, she enjoys running, cooking, music, and traveling. She also works as a nutritional therapist, working towards helping people adopt healthy dietary and lifestyle choices. This collection is compiled of poems centered around her reflections as she experiences different shades and phases of life. According to Neha, the best thing about poetry is that it gives us a way to express ourselves fully and yet at the same time, helps us keep our privacy. Book ISBN: 978-93-95620-56-7
