Indeed, in our lives, we often attend farewell functions, particularly in educational institutions like schools and colleges. However, have you ever considered the idea of bidding adieu to the very inception of our existence, which begins in the womb of our mothers? It's a unique concept. From the moment that the first cell forms and through the subsequent 10 months of development, we experience an irreversible journey.
Once we leave this initial abode, we can never return to our mother's womb. This idea forms the foundation of my debut poetry book titled "Journey of Farewell: A Life in Verses." This collection consists of 20 poems and one unique poem, a special poem that relates the author, Shrindhi Durairaj, to the reader. Each of the 20 poems eloquently expresses a different stage of life, and we experience an irreversible journey saying goodbye to those various phases, from the mother’s womb to childhood days to spinsterhood, and eventually bidding farewell to oneself and more.
These poems are not only emotionally charged but also carefully crafted, with rhyming words and vivid imagery that resonate deeply with the reader.
