Poetry is movement in words. Whether a catharsis of emotions, or painting a picture in your mind, whether evoking a memory or conveying a message; a poem is a way to build a connection between the poet and the reader, and give words and motion to the vastness of our own being, that sometimes may be lying hidden even to our own selves. Poetry is a bridge, a medium, to strike resonant chords between two souls: a companion in loneliness, a partner in joy, a shoulder in sorrow, a channel for anger, an acceptance in envy; a grace to be human, to make mistakes, to learn and unlearn, to know that across time, space and distance, there is someone who resonates with you.
