Description of the Book:
Pain is ugly as h*ll! It’s raw, loud, and unforgiving. I wrote a lot of these poems while being in an abusive relationship. Even after therapy and antidepressants, which I thought would “fix” me, I still ended up in a situation where I felt like I couldn’t get around. I’m Still Healing, Okay? Is an apology to myself. A chance for me to be raw with all the scars I have, a chance to release them and step away, forever. A chance to choose happiness.

About the Author: Jasmine Farmer, known to friends, family, and stages as Juice, is from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She has been a writer since she was a child, but didn’t become interested in spoken word poetry until high school. Being a part of Chapel Hill’s own youth poetry team that performed at the Brave New Voices competition in 2012, showed her that her power came from using her voice. Not silencing it.
