Her first book, “i didn’t have the courage to say this, but now i do” is a collection of works she wrote during her late adolescence and early 20s. Inside this book is an array of writings that reflect the inner workings of the authors mind, heart, and soul. A compilation of words that strengthened her and evoked her to search deeper within herself. Each poem tells a different story of how she is navigating her experiences through womanhood through a lens of empathy, triumph, and perseverance. Her self-discovery, love, and identity are some of the topics explored through these pages. These poems were written in hopes of showing others they’re not alone.
