    About the Author: Sascha Wassermann-Kremen is a poet, writer and artist from Gadigal Country (Sydney, Australia). Her work portrays her experiences as a young person facing addiction and other mental illnesses in the queer underbelly of Sydney. She takes her inspiration from some of the pioneers of the Beat Generation, such as Allen Ginsberg, William S. Burroughs and Jack Kerouac. Sascha is also influenced by her rich and diverse heritage as a child of Russian-Jewish and German-Japanese immigrants, witnessing the impacts of intergenerational trauma on young adults today. Her poetry aims to capture the beauty, pain and complexity of navigating the world as an outsider.
