Description of the Book:
Being the product of a teenager's mind, the book and its poems have proved themselves to symbolize the emotions and thoughts that are revealed in the chaotic yet streamlined manner through the years and those I'm sure we have all experienced. Essentially, it is a collection of random observations, small experiences, and long, winding, sometimes confusing metaphors that only make sense to the author (but that is poetry, is it not?). Quite literally, the themes explored in this book tend to associate themselves with an uncompleted journey, or, instead, a partly completed one. Eventually, it becomes so important to vent, through art, through the body, through poetry, any creative expression really. To create something, anything, throughout the length of our lives, is an achievement in itself, an immortalization of sorts. It's somewhat interesting to think of creative expressions as the puzzle pieces part of a much bigger picture, and our attempts at it as a celebration of our progression towards perpetuity. The book thus becomes an analogy for the same as well as a personification of the more literal journey that we live. We live so much, through ourselves, through others. Even though hope and happiness become possessions and, confusion and frustration instincts, living is realising that we can eventually move past that. Indeed, at that point, we're already halfway there.
halfway there
