Description of the Book:
"There is no place for Grief in the house which serves the Muse."
These beautiful words belong to Sappho,an archaic Greek poetess referred to, in her time, as the 'Tenth Muse'. She asserts that reverence to the Muse devalues Grief in the eyes of the believer; that Inspiration will be of such magnificence that Grief will be powerless. While the Nihilist in me does make an attempt to not accept the very existence and importance of the Muse, she has indeed blessed me. But, my Muse came to me in Grief. Poems came when, rattled by Nihilism, I stared at the dark thought of ending my life. Still faint vestiges of that dark path remain, but, poetry saved me from that 'tortured forest infested with harpies'. Here, you, the reader, will encounter passages which reflect both my sadness and my enthusiasm to rescue myself from that deep well of misery and solitude; my longing for sadness and my longing to end this longing, even if that means the destruction of myself.
