Author's Name: Lashonda Binns About the Author: Lashonda Binns was born and raised in Monticello, Arknsas. She is a loving mother who cherishes her family and friends. Lashonda is a devoted member at Connect Church Midwest City. She has participated in children's ministry, bible study groups, and volunteers to assist others as needed. Creative Writing is a passion she developed in high school Advanced English and at Mississippi Delta Community College. Lashonda was a honor graduate of Monticello High School class of 1993. She received her Associate of Arts Degree from Mississippi Delta Community College in 1995 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame at MDCC. She was nicknamed "Little Arkansas" as a member of the Lady Trojans Women's Basketball team there. She obtained her BSN, RN (2002); Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Social Services Minor (2006) from the University of Arkansas at Monticello. She worked caring for the elderly and volunteered as a Peewee Basketball Coach in Monticello. In 2007, Lashonda and her son relocated to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She worked in the juvenile detention system and mentored/counseled at risk youth. Then she obtained her Oklahoma Child Care and Director's credentials from Rose State Community College. She worked as a Child Care Director and Front Office Secretary implementing the inclusion of special needs children and child development training for staff.
