About the Author: Erica Barnes, an Alexandria, VA native, began writing poetry during High School where her love for literature began. Inspired by her first love, (and heartbreak), Erica began writing as a way to make sense of her emotions and the chaos that lived in her mind. Using poetry as a creative outlet to navigate some of life’s most trying times it became both her therapy and release. After taking a 10 year hiatus from writing to parent her two beautiful children, she's excited to bring you this anthology of poems that host her most intimate and honest thoughts, some old and some new. Now residing in Florida, Erica uses her Instagram platform as a virtual diary to uplift, inspire and heal the world through words.
