After my last abusive relationship, I decided therapy was the best way to break the cycle, find my inner strength and be a better voice for myself and my kids. In a search to find my voice, I started attending a poetry group through a local nonprofit that helps abused woman, CORA, they allowed me to be heard, understood and validated when all I knew was being gaslit, met with deflection and immature abusive behavior.
