Author's Name: Tatenda Munzara About the Author: Tatenda Munzara was born in the city of Harare, Zimbabwe. He is the firstborn of his first-generation immigrant family who settled in the United Kingdom in the early 2000s. At the age of seventeen, Tatenda began using poetry to process his emotions cathartically, having gained inspiration from studying metaphysical literature initially and more recently, contemporary black voices. He graduated with honors from Coventry University with a Journalism degree, worked in the digital media and marketing space for a number of years, and has his poetry published in Word Society’s first prose anthology: Words of Warwick Vol I. Tatenda’s written work has been published digitally and in print a multiple times including his most notable piece for the online travel and tourism guide ‘The Culture Trip’ and a more recent feature article in the Spalding Voice. A self-proclaimed storyteller; he’s a multi-disciplined creative, who explores different art forms including poetry, filmmaking, and photography.
