About the Author: Tanisha Desai is a 17 year old girl who is pursuing her IBDP program at Dhirubhai Ambani International School. She likes to call herself an expressionist. From the visual arts, writing, dance and drama to TED-Ed, ventriloquism and playing the guitar, the arts have paved the way for her to express herself. Tanisha aspires to be an author and illustrator. She is currently working on digital illustrations for a children’s storybook written by a renowned author. She is passionate about battling societal issues using her writing and art as a weapon. Tanisha has been conducting art workshops to raise funds for the underprivileged since 2020. She is a recipient of the REX Karmaveer Chakra award instituted by iCONGO in partnership with the United Nations for her contributions to society. She recently participated in the International VSA Elaine Hobson Memorial Literary Festival, and her submission has been handpicked to be showcased at the 2024 Global Empathy Conference in Prague.
