Description of the Book:

You are too sensitive, you take everything to heart, you are always over react...
These are some of the words I have always received as a complain from people around me all my life. But these characteristics make me, me and I believe that I can't put my soul in my art unless I can feel everything immensely.

"Being sensitive and emotional is a part of me, you take that away and you take away the very essence of who I am".

It can be incredibly challenging to express ourselves in a society where we are constantly judged and criticised. It is difficult to speak our minds openly, without fear of rejection or ridicule every time. That's why I wrote these poems, to share my journey, battles and emotions in the form of art. I wanted to channelise my emotional energy into something beautiful instead of burying them within.

About the Author: I am Radhika and I am a daughter, a sister, a wife, a daughter in law, a sister in law and many more. I love creating and appreciating art and I feel like my compassion, empathy and appreciation of small things works as a fuel for my art and is capable of creating beautiful things and beautiful relations. I am able to find inspiration in all aspects of my life, whether it's in cooking meals or creating and working on designs, or even just in taking a walk in the park. I feel like we give ourselves very less credit for everything than we deserve. I used to be like that too and used to sulk a lot but always tried to channelise this energy into writing poems as no one was interested in the sob stories of a sulking teen. So I thought, why not share it in a cryptic art form. Even now, like everyone else I experience a range of emotions from sadness to happiness, from discouraged to hopeful and I believe that expressing them is a sign of strength. It takes a lot courage to share your vulnerable side with the world and I have come a long way. Come along on my journey, where I went from feeling down to finding gratitude. Situations may have changed, but I am the same.
