"Work with animals is a source of suffering to all of us. We treat them like babies who cannot speak...
― Oleg Gazenko
What makes a human separate from an animal? It is certainly not our capacity for love, thought, loyalty, kindness, or pain, as those are all things that we share. Is it the size of our brains? The dexterity of our thumbs? Yet, looking into the eyes of a creature that loves you more than anything else in the world, how could you not see yourself reflected there?
May this book make you think about yourself, your dog, your life, or perhaps nothing at all."
