Dependance is a reckoning with the myth of independence. It begins where the body first learns to lean—in love, in family, in friendship—and widens relentlessly into money, responsibility, systems, belief, addiction, machines, nature, knowledge, and the energy that keeps existence breathing. These poems expose how every claim of strength is supported by unseen hands, how survival is negotiated through reliance, and how dependence can both save and consume us. Dependance insists on one unsettling truth: nothing we are stands alone, and everything we call self is held together by what we dare to depend on.
