Author's Name: Steffani Ballard About the Author: Originally from West Alexander, PA, Steffani has now spent over half her life in the Appalachian Region of West Virginia. Steffani has loved writing for as long as she could remember. Battling mental illness most of her life in silence, she has used writing as her biggest outlet and saving grace. Her passion for writing was further enticed while attending Marshall University in her early twenties, where she explored deeper the different styles of writing (poetry being her favorite), and learned more about the structural elements and active practices of the craft itself. Steffani is a lover of words, music, and art, as well as cooking and gardening. She currently works full-time in food service management, where she has been blessed to meet some of the most influential and supportive people in her life.
