Dear A,For a very long time, I didn’t have access to these two voices in my head. Though they would interchange in me, through me all the time, I couldn’t access them as monologues to have conversations with.During this time, I wrote a few poems that imagined what my voice was. Who I am is something I have been actively trying to put together in my understanding for many years now, and now it was time to let it speak up, as its own voice. In today’s reality, it’s very easy to tell apart what feels masculine from feminine. They exist distinctly apart, and so did this voice. Each had its own role and own struggle to face, though i feel like i’m speaking too soon for that part.
