Description of the Book:
Convalescence is the second published anthology of poetry from Allison Carroll. It contains 21 original poems, some of which were first written a few years ago, and the rest during the most challenging year of her life. Many came about as the result of a writing prompt in the form of a 21-day poetry writing challenge issued by Alvira Publishing House, a sister company of BookLeaf. Poems cover a range of topics from healing and recovery, agency, body image issues, anxiety and depression, and continued, insurmountable grief.
