Description of the Book:
Citations is an attempt at expressing in verse that which is read and conceived across the years while understanding self and the "other selves". The struggle of margins to peep into the center is a common thread in these poems. They translate between philosophy, politics, cinema and poetry. The poems offer an homage to "un-original" and the impossibility of a stable origin. The themes express aversions for theme, hence there is no singularity addressed in the poems. Most of them address through an I, for an I and to an I in absence of an absolute 'You'. There are quotes and citations in the poem which require certain readings either in past or future or while reading the poems. The book touches upon politics of being lonely in the world where dividuality is at the center of existence. One cannot summarize it in non-complex manner. The about is failure to write an 'about' the book.
