Description of the Book:
 
There is an Arabic word, 'Maktub', that roughly translates to, 'it is written ', in English. I feel that our lives revolve around this word. In this book, I've tried to weave the maktub of an old-school romantic poet who has loved someone and lost her to the winds of time. Poetry to him is like breathing, letting loose, and bleeding his musings on the parchment. She was not in his 'Maktub', but her love for him inspired, impelled, and transformed him into a better human and a better poet.
'Cherry-picked poems from the diary of an antique lover' is an anthology of a few of his musings. Some warm, cozy musings in the wintery evening, by the side of the warm hearth of his nasty hobbit hole. Some lukewarm musings in lukewarm autumn underneath the Amaltas trees longing for its golden yellow flowers hanging from pendulous branches. Some teary musings in monsoons by the side of rain continuously spattering his window sill. And some parched summer musings with his antique company of creaking ceiling fan and ‘The Alchemist’.
Hope you enjoy this anthology as much as I enjoyed writing it.

P.S: All the diary entries in the book are merely a figment of the poet's mind.
