Description of the Book:

This book brings together three art forms – the art of making and consuming food, the art of loving and being loved, and the art of putting words together into poetry.
It contains 21 poems, poems on love, grief, mothers, collective violence, hope, romance, vulnerability and sunsets.
But mostly it contains food, unpacking these complex themes with the beads of food, binding them all together. As you go from one poem to the next, you will witness the poetess live through her mundane-everyday life and the philosophical questions of empathy and endearment.
She invites you to understand your own relationship with food, love, and grief - letting you come out of this experience with empowerment and admiration. Through her careful study on food and poetry – a one-of-a-kind feat, she lets you, the reader, find their own being.

But What is Grief? If Not love and Food

About the Author: Charvi has spent the last twenty three years of her life reading philosophy and psychology, while marrying academics. She is a researcher at heart and a lecturer by profession. She is attached to the idea freedom, the idea of running away for escape - which for her is liberation. As a child this liberation was physical, she would run out to places and people she admired. As an adult she finds this liberation in words, in poetry and in people’s ideas. She questions who is she, if not the words she writes. This book is her liberation, her hope, her grieving.
