Description of the Book:
These poems were written during Samantha’s maternity leave when her best friend passed away, suddenly, two weeks after her son was born. The collection was written over the course of one year — as an intimate reflection on the piercing joy of bringing life into the world, its callous collision with death, and our desperate search to make sense of it all through love.
