Author's Name : Jessica Grace Ruth Brooks About the Author : Jessica G.R. Brooks is an emerging Indigenous writer of both Haida and Nisga'a descent. She was born in Prince Rupert, B.C., on November 26, 1999, and raised on the Indian Reservation of Skidegate, on Haida Gwaii. Brooks attended and graduated from GidGalang Kuuyas Naay Secondary School in June 2018 and went on to study for a diploma in Applied Science for Engineering at Langara College in Vancouver, B.C. that same year.
