Description of the Book:

This book is dear to me.

Very dear.

It is not just the cathartic feeling from having my name atop of a bunch of pages but also a realisation of my childhood dream. Well, one of them...

I go into the dream more in the Preface.

If you are reading this, I am already grateful :)

Because what you will find inside are pieces of my mind, petals of my soul and few beats of my heart laid out in a mozaic - a Mozaic of Meanings!

Why I spell Mozaic with a "Z" instead of the conventional "S" is a little but fun secret also tucked away in the Preface ;)

The book's title reflects a "mashup" of some of my deepest thoughts, insights about human behavior and intriguing observations of the modern world around us.

Thoughts that hold great meaning to me - because they spoke to me enough to encapsulate & capture them through carefully penned poems.

But the most exciting part about these 21 pieces of writing is the "origin story" behind them :

I started a personal self imposed challenge at the start of 2022 : a challenge to do 365 "creative" things in 365 days of the year (with different genres for each month of 2022 - January was dedicated for poems)

Why?

It is easy to spend our time consuming. It is definitely true for me. But having been an avid creator & learner of different art forms in the past, I wanted to use this challenge to create consistently again & feel the familiar glow of satisfaction everyday.

As fate would have it, I finished the Jan challenge but did not get past month 1 :/

I edited ~5 of my old poems and wrote 26 new ones between the start of Jan and early Feb : and that effort was the reason I was able to submit the 21 poems required for the June 8 - June 28 challenge (by the publisher) that is bringing this book to you!

I DID not have time to write poems in June and am submitting all of these at once on the last day of the deadline XD Oh well..

What is interesting here is that is after a handful of my poems for the 31 I wrote in Jan, I experimented with EVERY format I could find on the internet - like 20 of them!

Funnily enough, a lot of those 31 poems were in formats like Haiku (a 3 line poem) and imo, were not "worthy" enough to include in a book of poems.

But guess what! EXACTLY 21 of the 31 were "long" poems, with enough meat to chew on.

Funny right?

Well Fate loves Irony, as Elon Musk often likes to point out...

Btw, the cover image is from "Jogini falls" in Manali - the point I am sitting accessible only after you go to the other side of the absolutely chilling waterfall after crossing it from behind.

Happy Reading!

About the Author: I was lucky to have a terrific and fulfilling childhood which allowed me to explore my curiosities and partake in all kinds of stuff. My parents & school meant I was privileged enough to be trained in cultural things like singing, play tons of various sports over my school days and pursue things like poetry in an encouraging environment.I graduated in 2019 as a glorified engineer from BITS Pilani. After a couple twists and turns, I ended up starting a Personal Growth community which I ran until early 2022 while dabbling in education, cohort based courses, Youtube and Twitter on the side.I currently work with August Bradley on content with side quests like this book and personal challenges that keep me busy :)
