Author's Name: Lyndsey Rule About the Author: Lyrical words have always had an important role in author Lyndsey Rule’s life. Brought up by folky parents and frequently attending the local folk clubs and festivals of south-east England, a love of songs and songwriting has always been in the background. Her first introduction to poetry was a book of Spike Milligan poems, received at about the age of seven. This revealed to her the idea of playing with words and the fun of writing poetry (a joy which school then progressive tried to eradicate through terribly serious English lesson themes!). Growing up on the edge of a small market town in the Kent countryside embedded a deep connection with the natural world. She has worked for Kent Wildlife Trust and Chiltern Open Air Museum; and spent 10 years living on a narrowboat. Her poetry reflects a lifetime lived in love with the land around her. She now lives in Glasgow, where she takes her cat for walks in the local wood and plays with words and music, whenever Long Covid symptoms allow. Book ISBN: 9789358738438
